Coach Brandon Emory is the owner of The Combat Factory. He has been in Martial Arts for close to 30 years. He holds black belts in Karate, Tae Kwon Do & American Combat Jujitsu. Additionally, he has trained in Judo, Kali, Silat and BJJ. During that time, he has worked executive security for athletes, private individuals, private facilities and special events. He was a sworn law enforcement officer, with extensive time spent as a criminal investigator. In 2015, Coach Brandon started his own company, Alliance Code Enforcement LLC. His company has contracts with municipalities throughout the southeast to perform code enforcement duties. Coach Brandon also has a BS Cum Laude and MS degree in Criminal Justice. The Combat Factory has been a lifelong dream. He wanted to create a place that specialized in the combative side of Martial Arts to prepare individuals to address any situation they may face.    

In 2024, Coach Brandon was highlighted by the Marquis Who's Who in America for his professional integrity, outstanding achievements in his field and for making innumerable contribution to society.

Coach Josh Whitman has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for almost 20 years. A certified IBJJF Brown Belt under Professor Joe Hurst, Coach Josh is a seasoned BJJ competitor. He has achieved numerous US grappling victories with his most notable being the 2011 Monster Cup tournament held in Charlotte, NC. Coach Josh received his Purple belt under Professor Hurst in 2016 and was promoted to Brown belt in 2025. Prior to training in BJJ, he achieved black belt ranking in Shito-Ryu Karate. Coach Josh is an excellent addition to The Combat Factory team as his goal is to make his students better than him.
